Dear. Commissioner Davis:
Pursuant to Vermont's Public Documents Law, 1 VSA Section 315-320, please provide the following:
1. A copy of William Irwin's curriculum vitae [CV] and your CV;
2. Reports on, and communications with, Entergy, health and other state officials regarding radiation monitoring around the Vermont elementary school adjacent to the nuclear plant, including any and all requests from Vermont citizens for information on this matter;
3. Communications with any attorneys in the Attorney General's office regarding Vermont Yankee from 2006 to the present;
4. Communications with health or other state officials regarding a request by
Rutland nurse Kathleen Krevetski for information regarding increased thyroid cancer risks, and the provisional release ("Don't release this without our permission") to Krevetski of an October 2, 2008 document showing fourfold increase among women between 1996 and 2005.
5. Communications with health or other state officials regarding Surveillance Reports released to the public showing a markedly different thyroid cancer rate which a) combines "Invasive thyroid cancer, males and females" rather than separates out rates for men and higher rates for women, thereby lowering the overall rate (reported in 2006 to be 7.2 ) and b) does not show the incremental, year by year increase in thyroid cancer rates (which for women, jumps from 4.8 per 100,000 in 1996 to 19.5 in 2005);
6. The methodology behind the data that goes into Surveillance Reports, including the statement that "the rate of cancer incidence in the six towns near Vermont Yankee is lower as compared to rates in Windham County and the rest of Vermont and the United States."
